In recent years, eastern Europe has become an increasingly popular travel destination. There are regular flights by budget airlines to a variety of destinations and prices are remarkably low when you arrive. You can travel to historic cities, mountains and wildlife sites.

The Middle East (apart from Dubai) is not yet a popular travel destination for the mass tourist market; but if you can get over any initial reservations that you may have, it can provide an unusual variety of family holidays that feature historic and religious sites, wildlife and a rich cultural experience.
